Recently, Huawei filed a lawsuit against HP and several of its European subsidiaries in the Munich Regional Court for patent infringement. The patent in question is European Patent EP3611989 (Method and Apparatus for Transmitting Wireless Local Area Network Information), with case number ACT_34870/2025.

In recent years, Huawei has actively pursued patent enforcement actions through the UPC, filing lawsuits against U.S.-based Netgear, MediaTek, HMD, and Transsion. In January this year, Sisvel officially announced that Netgear had joined its Wi-Fi 6 patent pool and obtained a license, concluding the litigation with Huawei. However, the lawsuits against MediaTek, HMD, and Transsion remain ongoing.

In September 2025, WiFi router manufacturer TP-Link filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Huawei in the High Court of Justice of England and Wales (EWHC).
